Painted arm rests

This is a interior modification that can be accomplished in 4-6 hours depending on whether or access to a garage. I have a 99 gt with a host of add on parts but i wanted to bring out the interior without having to pay a Katzkin interior. To start first pick a nice day or use a garage.

The first step is to remove the rear seats and the bottom one pulls out when lifting out the plastic pulls under the seat. The upper seat comes off with two bolts and pulling up on the seat. Then take out the screw on the door sill closest to the rear seat and then pull off the rear side panels.

Once the panels are off turn them upside down and remove the armrest with the two screws holding them on. Once off WASH THE ARMRESTS AND WIPE OFF WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL once dry apply a light coat of the paint you chose. Repeat light coats for about ten coats and let dry about a half-hour extra then usual. Once dry screw the rests back on and put the car back together using the steps backwards. Take a look at your new colored armrests and enjoy.
